Victorian 1892 18ct gold pearl & old cut diamond ring, UK O.5-P, US 7.75

What a delightful antique pearl and old cut diamond cluster ring with Bridgerton stamped all over it! Hallmarked for 1892, this excellent antique cluster ring is set with four gorgeous antique pearls around a central old cut diamond in a square setting, with four further old cut diamonds at each corner, in an elegant gallery. This ring reminds me of the antique betrothal ring worn by the Duchess of Hastings in Bridgerton, pearls and diamonds being symbols of purity and everlasting love. All set in 18ct antique gold which I have neither cleaned nor polished to retain the antique patina, with crisp hallmarks for Birmingham 1892, elegant solid shoulders with absolutely no signs of ever having been resized so in original condition except for some expected wear to the nacre of the pearls, which are slightly different colours. What a perfectly lovely and historic antique ring, so pretty and feminine and very wearable.
