OLD DARLING ANTIQUES

I LOVE jewellery of all ages but especially antique jewellery, my love and fascination started as a child while visiting antique shops and fairs. My life has been spent surrounded by antiques, my mother was an antique dealer and furniture restorer so my earliest memories are of the thrill of the chase with early morning treasure hunting taking us all over England. The world of antiques, gold and gemstone jewellery is an enchanting place, I love nothing more than being immersed in their history and possibilities. Imagining the lives and loves each piece has witnessed is an endless source of intrigue. A lover of the ancient world and colourful gemstones has further fuelled a passion  for jewellery design, working with a few good jewellery makers transforming ancient Greek and Roman coins into pendants and rings using antique gold. I am committed to a more sustainable approach to jewellery buying, using repurposed antique gold, silver, gemstones and transforming them into more wearable items, each unique, and I accept custom orders, working with gemstone dealers who visit mines and source and cut specific stones for me. Everything sold here is either antique, vintage, a one-off preloved item, a bespoke design or a conversion. So if you see something you love and must have please don't hesitate, because once they're gone, they're gone!
