A huge and impactful vintage mid century 9ct yellow gold cocktail ring set with a sugar loaf rutilated quartz. Rutile quartz, known as Venus hair by the ancient Greeks, also known as angel hair, Cupid’s darts, or my favourite the French flèches d'amour, or arrows of love, beautiful by name and beautiful by nature. The striated Brutalist 1960’s setting mirroring the cabochon, which is laced with fine yet robust golden hair-like needles in a random pattern. A corker of a kapow ring, sure to set tongues wagging.
