I love nothing better than an antique ring with an inscription, this one being particularly poignant daring to slap bang in the middle of the First World War. A 9ct rosy gold signet ring in the shape of a shield with decorative shoulders, smooth and well loved, with the inscription JY to AB McB 25/12/17, it has battle scars on the inside of the band. A gift to a lover, a friend going off to the trenches or a fellow officer, who knows what secrets this ring holds, suffice to say this is a rather lovely piece of wearable historical antique jewellery.  
Ring size; around an R, US around a 8.75 hard to be precise with such a wide band that isn’t quite round, I don’t recommend resizing this ring
