Antique 18ct yellow gold star burst old cut diamond ring, 9.5 grams, UK L, US 6

A stunning 18ct yellow gold gypsy ring with star burst set old cut diamonds in a thick heavy band of buttery gold. It looks antique to me, hallmarked for 1976 which may be a later addition if it was resized, or was it a bespoke made using antique gold and antique diamonds? Who knows and it doesn’t matter, this is a superb heavy high carat gold ring set with beautiful white and clean antique diamonds totalling approx .95ct, what’s not to love? Measured in their settings so approximately middle diamonds .50ct, outer diamonds .20ct and .25ct, the stones are chunky and deep with open culets.
